Dr David Shelley-Jones manages fertility problems in the context of overall reproductive health. Having practiced assisted reproduction for more than 20 years, David applies his broad depth of experience in obstetrics and gynaecology in addition to fertility technologies such as IVF and PGD.
David graduated from Medicine at the University of Sydney in 1983 and holds fellowships with both the Australian and British Royal Colleges of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He has been a Chairman of the Division of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Mater Hospital, a facility of St Vincents Health Australia in North Sydney. He performs hysteroscopic and laparoscopic procedures and has presented papers on minimally invasive surgery in England, Germany and the United States.
Commonly managed conditions include polycystic ovarian syndrome, fibroids, endometriosis, low ovarian reserve, recurrent miscarriage and poor sperm counts. He also frequently uses IVF with PGS for unexplained infertility.
On a more personal note, David is married with three children and has an interest in women’s health services in developing countries.
David’s practice tries to accommodate couples quickly either in the City or North Sydney. Please call Sarah at the City rooms (Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm). T: 02 9221 2904 F: 02 9221 2570
