Dr Tween Low’s approach to helping people create families is based on honesty and humility. Her practice is evidence based and individualised and she truly appreciates the opportunity to interact with her patients, supporting and accompanying them on what can be a challenging journey.
Whether she is listening to her patients’ concerns, discussing options clearly and concisely with them, detailing management plans or simply converting complex medical speak into plain English, Tween ensures her patients are comfortable and completely understand what it is that she recommends.
Tween graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1994 and trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Canberra and Sydney. She obtained her specialist qualification from The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2004 and became an accredited Fertility Specialist with Genea (then Sydney IVF) a year later.
Tween has a Master of Reproductive Medicine and is also an experienced laparoscopic surgeon, having trained under Dr Geoffrey Reid as his laparoscopic fellow.
The management of endometriosis, recurrent miscarriages and infertility treatment are Tween’s main interests. For many years, she worked in the Foetal Medicine Unit at The Canberra Hospital looking after high risk pregnancies, therefore she is experience in management of genetic conditions and application of pre-implantation genetic diagnosis. In 2013, she moved away from obstetrics in order to focus on infertility and gynaecology. Tween is a Visiting Medical Officer at John James Calvary Hospital and National Capital Private Hospital.
